Probiotec Supports NSPCC in the U.K.
30/04/2009
As part of a recent promotion run by TowerFM, WireFM, WishFM, Central Radio and JuiceFM in the U.K. Probiotec gave competitors in their eight week challenge an extra incentive. Probiotec and retail partner Rowlands Pharmacy promised to donate £10 to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) for every pound the 13 competitors lost over the eight week challenge period. The contestants did a great job, losing an amazing 425 lbs!

At the competition final weigh-in event, held at the Village Hotel Warrington, Probiotec General Manager Dusty Stringer presented the local NSPCC representative with a cheque for £4,250 to be used to prevent cruelty to children in the local area.

NSPCC Presentation

The competition itself was a great success, with contestants losing on average 14% of their body weight. The final weigh-in event and awards ceremony, hosted by TowerFM, saw a lot of emotional slimmers sharing their stories and encouraging everyone present to get healthy and stay that way. Competition winner Mike was happy to win, but proud of all of the contestants for their gutsy efforts over the last eight weeks.
